ferrumaeternum: (art is what you can get away with)
All of these are 18" x 24" except the two painted in India ink, which are about 6’’ x 9’’. The rest are in pencil, charcoal, white and sanguine conte, and sharpie.

This is the only homework assignment that is actually a finished piece, not just an exercise, so I figured it was worth showing. It’s also the first self-portrait I’ve done where I’ve got my facial proportions correct. I just wish I spent more time on it because I started it about midnight the day it was due and finished around 3:00 AM. It’s done in charcoal on brown paper with white conte highlights.

Hopefully I won't have to replace any of these! Tinypic.com already deleted one and I don't know where else to upload photos where non-sexual nudity is allowed. :/ I like to use Photobucket, but these would've been deleted there in a heartbeat.
ferrumaeternum: (modern art matters)
These are the most recent drawings I’ve done in class, and they’re all in color (yay!). The first four are in watercolor and the last two are in pastel. The first one is a good example of why you really need to use watercolor paper for watercolor! (I thought we were doing something else that day and ended up using a thin sketch paper.)
