But it shall!
I just got the peacock added to my backpiece last night, and to keep it in proportion to the branch and have it fit on my back, its tail goes all the way down to the bottom of the right side of my bum. I was notified of this only hours before my appointment, but I trust Lane enough to do whatever he wants. He did the entire initial outline in gray ink and in just 45 minutes.
The peacock is larger than all of my previous work, so I guess I wasn’t being a total wuss for writhing around on the table in agony because he did a ton of work in such a short period of time. Seriously, that was the most intense pain I’ve been in my whole life. A lot of people say fleshier parts of the body hurt less, but they lie. The shoulder blade, spine and back of the ribcage were a piece of cake compared to the lower back and ass.
I will post pictures once it looks more like a tattoo and less of a scarification piece. I can't wait to get this finished in November. I have three appointments set up, so hopefully that should do it.
ETA: I figured out why it hurt so bad. The stencil had to be adjusted a few times beforehand (which has never happened before) and rubbing alcohol was used to take it off. Since I have the world's most sensitive skin, that was probably the majority of the issue because I could comfortably deal with over four hours of shading in one session in the past.
