"The road must be trod, but it will be very hard. And neither strength nor wisdom will carry us far upon it. This quest may be attempted by the weak with as much hope as the strong. Yet such oft is the course of deeds that move the wheels of the world: small hands do them because they must, while the eyes of the great are elsewhere." - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

All of my music available for upload is listed here.
A list of concerts I've attended (and plan on attending) can be found here.
I also occasionally post songs in [livejournal.com profile] audiography.

how i use livejournal.
I decided to create this journal, since I previously felt I was writing for a small, judgmental audience and not for myself. If you’re curious, the two previous journals I’ve had are [livejournal.com profile] screen_kiss and [livejournal.com profile] fadingxdream. As you can probably tell, I don't switch journals very often and only have created new ones when I went through significant changes in my life.

content.
Most of my entries are public. I am a very analytical person, so I tend to write a lot and pay attention to minute detail. I must also warn you that I use my journal for catharsis regarding issues in my life, which usually contains satire and snark. I can also be a bit misanthropic, vain, and pessimistic at times. I am very loyal to my friends, but cross me and I will destroy you. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, simply don’t read my journal. I also post about what interests me, which mainly consists of music, art, body modification, religion, literature, and film. I am strongly opinionated when it comes to certain topics, some of which are controversial, and my profile page lists where my stances are. Although I belong to some fandom-related communities and read copious amounts of fanfiction, I do not make posts containing or regarding it. If I do in the future, they will only be visible to that custom friends group.

friending.
Anyone can read this, and whether you decide to lurk or befriend me is up to you. I will most likely add you back in return, especially if we have similar interests or I know you from somewhere. However, I suggest you read a few of my posts before adding this journal to get a sense of what I write about. You don’t have to comment on this entry to be added, as I often check my User Info page, but if you’d still like to, go ahead.

comments.
I may not comment on every post you make, but I still read every entry on my friends page. Likewise, I do not expect my friends to comment and will not remove anyone for not commenting.

aesthetics.
I use LiveJournal cuts in regard to my layout. I may or may not put an image behind a cut, so do not tell me to do so just because it may be too large to fit comfortably in the layout you’re using on your friends page. If an entry is extremely long or an image is larger than roughly 400 x 600 pixels, I will automatically put it behind a cut.

I use the default comment page. Not everyone has high-speed Internet, so I feel they shouldn’t be forced to download my layout when they simply want to comment on the entry. This also helps avoid confusion when I decide to change my layout.

Although I am an art student and very capable of making my own layouts, I like to use others’ for my journal. I am extremely critical of my own work and would rather look at something on a daily basis that I’m not personally attached to.

Disclaimer: Content may include vulgar language, artistic nudity, and opinions on controversial topics. I do no suggest reading this if you are not open minded, easily offended, at work, and/or under the age of eighteen.

You're the only person in Milwaukee who lists Turisas as an interest, hence you are cool in my book.

Thanks! Needless to say, you're cool in mine as well. It's unfortunate that there aren't many people around here that like folk metal.

That is indeed unfortunate. Were you as pissed when the concert got canceled too? Seriously, snow should not be able to stop metal.

YES. What pissed me off the most is that Turisas were willing to go, but DragonForce decided to cancel. I'm not a DF fan at all, so I hope when they reschedule, the opening bands don't totally suck so I won't be out the money.

I don't particularly care to see DF again. They were assholes(except for Herman Li.) Turisas is a damn good show, though, and Powerglove would have been cool.

How the hell did you import your comments? I've imported entries over here, but they didn't come with the comments.

Well, I sent this query to help/support and am waiting for a reply:

Is there any way to have potential new comments to already imported entries show up on Dreamwidth, as well? For example, if I have an entry from last month that someone on LiveJournal leaves a new comment on over there, the comment will not automatically appear on the Dreamwidth version of the same entry. So, is there anything I can do without having to import all entries ALL over again, therefore having double the amount of entries?

Hello!

I stumbled upon your profile while browsing the colourlovers.com site, and you seem far too awesome to *not* add to my friends list. Feel free to reciprocate. I don't update as often as I would like, but I try to post some photos frequently.
