After Neil Gaiman tweeted that he pasted excerpts from Anansi Boys into this generator and ended up with Stephen King and J.R.R. Tolkien, my curiosity was piqued, and I had to give this a try!

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

I pasted a few paragraphs from various recent LiveJournal entries. On the second try, I got Margaret Atwood. On the third, I got H.P. Lovecraft, and on the fourth, I got DFW again. I’m not too surprised, but I am very amused! It must be all my long sentences. I actually don’t like my writing style very much, so I guess it’s a good thing that I’m not pursuing anything English-related in college like I wanted to back when I was in junior high school. I do write exactly how I speak and think, so at least I can say that it’s genuine.

I’m really curious to see if anyone else does this, so if you do it and feel like sharing, please do!
